Request Statuses

Customize the lifecycle of requests by defining your own statuses and transitions.

Overview

• Add, edit, delete request statuses
• Reorder to match your workflow
• Toggle active/inactive
• Set default status for new requests

Access

• Team > Request Statuses
• Permissions: edit_requests

Managing Statuses

1. Click Create Status to add a new one
2. Edit name/color as needed
3. Drag to reorder
4. Toggle active to hide without deleting
5. Set default for new requests

Allowed Transitions

• Define which statuses can transition to others
• Enforce consistent workflows

Best Practices

• Keep statuses unambiguous (e.g., Pending, In Progress, Review, Completed)
• Limit total statuses for clarity
• Review transitions with your team

Troubleshooting

• Status not selectable: It may be inactive or not in allowed transitions
• New requests wrong status: Check default status setting
